So overall it's a good buy for it's portability/brightness but watch out for that heat. Perhaps the smaller size meant the cooling was not as good. I would say this particular one compared to it's previous version the 3300mp with the same 1500 lumen rating was producing more heat. The PJ was running in a room at 27 degrees and it didn't shutdown but the room felt like 35 after a half hour. I don't know why PJs with P-VIP bulbs produce so much heat but it really wastes a lot of energy. I game with it and it looks as bright as my dell 2400mp which is a 3000 lumens PJ. The color matching is good and it's 1500 ansi lumens is bright enough for most applications.
Dell 3400mp projector cable 720p#
It's a 1024x768 native which is good for presentations and 720p home theater or gaming. Comes standard with the M1 to VGA cable but i guess there is also the DVI cable available. It has composite video and an M1 analog and digital interface. This was definitely a lower cost solution for my needs. If you get one of these and want to buy a cable for the dvi input, be sure to check carefully t hat the one you buy fits there are several that look the same, but are different in size, etc. I need to see my computer while doing presentations because I don't like continually turning my back to the students in order to see what's on the screen. I did however, purchase a vga to m1 dvi because with S-Video connection the computer screen is black. I hooked up from my computer to it with an "S-Video" cable when I first received it and it worked great. Because of its compact size, it does not have as many inputs/outputs as its big brothers, but it does have the capability of hooking to most anything if you have the right cords/adapters. I use an occasional video clip here and there and they do great as well. The DellTM 3400MP Projector is the perfect traveling companion for anyone who wants the ultimate in portability and flexibility without paying a premium price.Weighing in at just 2.4 pounds, the 3400MP projector delivers crystal-clear images and quiet operation in a small, easy-to-use form factor. The Dell 3400MP includes an IR full-featured remote control with mouse and laser pointer, all. This is great for what I bought it for Power Point presentations for my classes. I would buy it again if the price was right, but buy newer if I had money
